Last monday morning (21st march 2011) someone smashed the windows of the new tesco metro on lower clapton road. While we don’t condone violence, this act of vandalism shows the level of anger in the local area to the arrival of this beacon of multinational corporatism. Clapton doesn’t want you Tescos!

Palm 2 sells everything. A family run community spirited corner shop that will take in your parcels, fix your laptop and get in anything you need so long as you write it down for them.

Tesco have moved in next door but one. Palm 2’s takings have gone up so far. Let’s hope things stay that way.
